When you bring your microwave in for an evaluation, it’s important to:
- Ensure that it works. Plug your microwave in and try out all of the features to make sure it’s in good, working condition.
- Make sure it’s clean. Remove any food debris from the interior of the microwave, including the turntable, roof, and door. If the microwave has a stainless-steel finish, give it a polish before bringing it in for an evaluation.
- Bring along any paperwork. If you have the manual or box that the microwave came with, bring it with you to the pawn shop. The complete set will help the microwave sell faster.
If your microwave is in good condition, you can expect between $5-$25. If you’re pawning a newer microwave that serves a dual purpose (like a microwave/toaster oven in one), you may earn a bit more.
