How much can you pawn a guitar for?

If your guitar is in good working condition, you can expect to earn anywhere from $20-$650. Rare or autographed guitars could potentially be worth more, depending on their condition and origin. When you bring your guitar in for an evaluation, it’s important to:

• Make sure it works. If you have an electronic instrument, plug it in to make sure it works. Test all of the features, including the tuning and volume knobs, to make sure everything is in working order.
• Give it a wipe down. Nothing looks worse than a guitar with fingerprints all over the lacquer. Shining your guitar prior to bringing it to a pawn shop can give it more shelf value, ultimately earning you more money.
